Vehicle Details — GET /platform/api/v1/vehicles/details/{year}/{series}
Per-series endpoint returning the full Build & Price configurator dataset: trim groups, models, MSRPs, color options, accessories, packages, and standard features. The response structure is identical between Honda and Acura; the same extractors are reused for both brands.

Known data quality issues
trim_group — same feature key maps to multiple trim labels within a single response
Observed: 2026-07-08, (feature_code, model_code, model_year) key; 35 distinct trim_group value combinations observed across 100 sampled entities, e.g. _series (cross-trim sentinel) vs LX (specific trim name) for the same (feature_code, model_code, model_year) key.
The vehicles/details endpoint assigns trim_group differently depending on the feature type extracted from that response. For accessories, packages, and colors, trim_group is taken from TrimGroups[].Name (e.g. LX, Sport, Touring). For standard features (eFeatureSet.Subsets[]), trim_group is taken from the subset's SetId (also a trim name). Cross-trim series-level features receive the sentinel value _series. When the same (feature_code, model_code, model_year) key appears in more than one of these paths within the same response, the resulting candidate rows carry different trim_group strings.
The conflict cannot be resolved deterministically: _series and a specific trim name like LX represent different grouping semantics rather than a data error, and no external source confirms which value should be canonical for a given key.
Examples (2026-07-13): feature bt (2027) — "EX-L", "LX", "Sport" (3 trim labels for one key); feature ibt (2026) — 6 values including "Black Edition", "RTL", "TrailSport+HPD Wheels".
model_series — series name varies across candidate rows sharing the same feature key
Observed: 2026-07-08, (feature_code, model_code, model_year) key; 1 distinct model_series value combination observed in a single conflicting entity.
The vehicles/details endpoint populates model_series from the top-level ModelSeriesItemName field of the response (e.g. civic-sedan, cr-v). One value is injected as a constant onto every feature row produced from a given (year, series) response. When the same (feature_code, model_code, model_year) key is produced by more than one response call — for example when a feature code appears under multiple series — the injected model_series value differs across the resulting candidate rows.
The conflict cannot be resolved deterministically without confirming the intended semantics of ModelSeriesItemName for shared feature codes. No external documentation for this field is publicly available.

category — feature classification label mixes two vocabularies on the same column

The vehicles/details endpoint populates category from two distinct sources within a single response. For standard features (eFeatureSet.Subsets[].Features[]), category is the free-text string from Keys[0].Category (e.g. Exterior, Interior, Safety, Technology). For accessories, packages, and colors, category is a hardcoded classification string (e.g. Accessory, Package, Exterior Color, Interior Color). When the same (feature_code, model_code, model_year) key is reached via more than one extraction path, the candidate rows carry values from different vocabularies — an API-supplied string versus a fixed classification label.
The conflict cannot be resolved deterministically: selecting one vocabulary over the other requires external validation of which classification is authoritative for shared feature codes.
